CEO Statement The business year 2022/23 continued to follow the path staked out to transform HOLMRIS B8 from a manufacturing company to a sales and design company. Our interactions and relation- ships with customers have strengthened, and we spend more time than ever providing advice and service. HOLMRIS B8 maintains its focus on being a when it comes to sustainability and certifica - tion of products. HOLMRIS B8 has set clear tar- gets for HOLMRIS B8 Brand products as well as receiving requests for our main suppliers. This makes it possible to certify and monitor the majority of our revenue in terms of quality labels and CO2e figures on products. HOLMRIS B8 maintains its commitment to the UN Global Compact and we look forward to ful- filling the 2023 standards. We continue to work with strong code-of-conduct documents for our main suppliers and have introduced a new system to have this document signed by each supplier. In order to continue our goal of being a lead- er in the Danish market, HOLMRIS B8 is in the process of applying for SBTi validation fol- lowing the SME route. We are in the progress of defining the requisite base figures for CO2 emissions. The application to SBTi also means that HOLMRIS B8 is committed to a net-zero balance. We expect to be accepted in the SBTi database by autumn 2023. Sustainability and upcycling are at the core of our values at HOLMRIS B8. This is also evident in our product development, which focuses on recycling products and upcycling to conserve raw materials. We have developed a concept called “Recrafted” products, where as many parts as possible are reused and new materi- als are only added when absolutely necessary. Even tabletops are developed using upcycled old materials. This is the optimal way to run a sustainable business – reusing natural re- sources and thereby reducing CO2 emissions. This recycling process, in conjunction with our donation network, is appeals to our many cus- tomers that focus on sustainability. Through our donation network, we give used furniture new life in sports clubs, social projects etc. We simply offer the product for free to members of our donation network. All they have to do is pick it up. This reduces waste and eliminates the emissions created by manufacturing new products. For each donation project, HOLMRIS B8 can generate a donation report for the cus- tomer donating the products. This report sup- ports their own CSR reporting by documenting their donation to charity. The “Furnitree” eco-project continues as a ser- vice to those customers who want to compen- sate for the CO2 emissions generated in the production of their furniture. In autumn 2022, HOLMRIS B8 planted 20,000 trees on behalf of our customers and ourselves. In order to maintain a sharp focus on sus- tainability, HOLMRIS B8 has created an ESG Department. The aim is to transition from CSR-focused activities to a much broader ESG focus. At the same time, efforts have been put in place to document all the positive initiatives we have taken in the past several years. This is very helpful for our sales force as well as our business partners. In this report, you will find more data and exam - ples of what ESG is at HOLMRIS B8. In addition to what we have achieved in the past and what we aim for in the future. Let this be a report for inspiration and for establishing a dialog about our sustainable journey, at HOLMRIS B8 and in collaboration with you. Flemming Windfeld 4
